Privacy policy

The short version

Raw photos, videos, and project files stay on your device. Edie does not upload your raw media to its servers for AI editing. We do not sell your personal information, run advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Information Edie processes

• Editing requests.Prompts, transcripts, project structure, and analysis summaries may be sent to Edie's backend and AI service providers to understand and perform the edit you request.
• Device identity. The app creates an anonymous device identifier so the service can enforce limits and keep requests reliable. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Diagnostics. Sentry receives scrubbed crash reports, performance data, app version, operating-system details, and basic device information so we can find and fix failures. Prompts and raw media are not intentionally included in these reports.
• Support. When you send a support request, we store the reply email and message you provide so we can respond and resolve the issue.
• Website analytics. This website counts page views using Umami, a cookieless analytics service. It records the page address and title, the site that linked you here, your screen size, browser language, and coarse country, browser, operating system, and device type, plus whether you joined the waitlist. It sets no cookies, builds no profile of you across other sites, and never receives your email address. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded at all.

How information is used

We use this information only to provide requested edits, operate and secure Edie, diagnose problems, enforce fair-use limits, and answer support requests. Service providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.

Retention and your choices

Local projects remain under your control on your device. Service and diagnostic records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve Edie. To ask about, correct, or delete support or service data associated with you, send a request through Edie support.

Changes

We may update this policy as Edie changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before they apply.
