Terms of use
Effective 8 August 2026
Using Edie
These terms apply when you download or use Edie. You must follow applicable law and Apple's platform rules. The first public release is provided without charge; any future paid feature will clearly disclose its price and terms before purchase.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, audio, text, and projects you bring to or create with Edie. You grant Edie only the limited permission needed to process your editing request and operate the service.
You must have the rights or permission needed to use and publish every asset in your project. Music offered in Edie's built-in catalog is identified as CC0 or otherwise licensed for that use, but you remain responsible for the rules of the platform where you publish.
AI-assisted edits
AI can misunderstand a request or produce an incomplete or unsuitable result. You must review AI-generated edits, captions, timing, and exports before relying on or publishing them. Edie does not guarantee that an output is accurate, unique, or fit for a particular purpose.
Acceptable use
Do not use Edie to violate others' rights, break the law, distribute malware, abuse the service, evade limits, or create content that exploits or endangers people. We may restrict access needed to protect users, the service, or comply with law.
Service availability
Edie is provided as available and may contain errors. Features and third-party AI services may change, pause, or discontinue, and uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, Edie is provided without implied warranties and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
